KNL is establishing its presence in Norway and is looking for a Key
Account Manager with a military officer background or equivalent
defence-sector experience to build long-term partnerships within the Norwegian
defence market.
In this role, you will represent KNL locally and work closely with key
defence stakeholders, helping develop reliable communication capabilities for
demanding, mission-critical environments. This is a strategic commercial role
with strong market ownership: you will combine account management, business
development and customer engagement, and play a key role in KNL’s growth in
Norway.
The Role
As Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing KNL’s
business in Norway and managing strategic customer relationships.
Your responsibilities include:
· Building and executing account plans for the Norwegian defence market
· Identifying and developing opportunities with end-users, prime
contractors and system integrators
· Acting as the primary point of contact for key Norwegian defence
customers
· Leading the sales process from early engagement to contract close
· Building trusted relationships with decision-makers, programme offices
and procurement organisations
· Representing KNL at relevant industry forums and events
· Working with technical teams to align customer needs with KNL solutions
· Monitoring defence procurement programmes, funding cycles and regulatory
developments
· Sharing insights on market developments and pipeline progress
What You Bring
We are looking for a professional with a background in the defence sector
or similar environments and strong credibility and an active network within the
Norwegian defence sector. You bring a combination of defence understanding,
commercial capability, and the ability to build trusted relationships.
· Military officer background or equivalent, or relevant higher education
· Experience in key account management, business development or defence-related
roles
· Understanding of defence procurement processes and governmental
stakeholders
· Experience working with complex, long-term projects and multiple
stakeholders
· Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans and negotiate
contracts
· Familiarity with defence technologies such as communications, C5ISR or
command & control
· Ability to translate technical solutions into customer value
· Understanding of compliance frameworks, security clearance and export
control

· Willing to travel to customer meetings, events and KNL HQ in Oulu,
Finland
